DANIELLE BAMFORD- YOUR PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELOR

As the school counselor I am devoted to you and your child(rens) success in academics, social-emotional development, and career planning. I will use my time within the school year to connect, form relationships, advocate for student and school needs, as well as consult with parents, teachers, and administration. Also, during the year I will assist the school in planning fun, educational, and interesting activities and curriculum. I am here to assist your student(s) in achieving the best version of themselves.

CLASSROOM GUIDANCE

The middle school years bring exciting new challenges and opportunities. It’s the ideal time to nurture social-emotional competence and develop in depth learning skills.
The Second Step 6-8 program provides a fully integrated framework for protecting middle school students and promoting their social, emotional, and academic success.  Mrs. Bamford will deliver Second Step in class while also reinforcing concepts during individual and group counseling sessions.

COUNSELING AND CONSULTATIONS

If you feel like you are struggling at home, with your peers, or in school, talking with someone about it is important and helpful. As the school counselor, I am a safe person anyone can go to, in which I hope to build trust and create healthy relationships between myself and those I help.

Parents:

I am not only available to the students and staff here at the school, I am also available to you for consultation. If you feel as though it is important to share useful/helpful information about your child/children, or want to inquire more information about what is going on with your child and the school, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Group Counseling

Counseling groups are facilitated during student lunch times.  A wide array of topics may be covered during lunch-bunch groups, such as anger management, grief and loss, problem solving and social skills. These groups are offered to students who need extra behavioral or academic support.

Disclosure:

All information shared is confidential between the individual and counselor. If it is determined that there is risk of harm to the individual or another person it will be reported to the appropriate authorities and proper actions will be followed.
